Citibank-YMCA Youth for causes official launch at ACSB today was quite alright. the first part of it was fun; the 2nd part was boring. there was a talk by the founder of 77th street (which was quite inspiring), a beatbox and breakdance performance, lindyhop performance and cool videos so yeah that made it enjoyable. our mentor didn't turn up. ):
i'm still REALLY REALLY intimidated by what we're doing tho (i seem to be the only one in my group who is). there are like 105 other groups. and i found out today that the "dream on' project last year was actually led by a group, who thought that they cld only raise a very small amt of funds.. but it turned out to be such a huge project. it's cool tho. out of the $160 000 that was given to all the 100 groups last year, they raised a total of $665,000. cool or not. o.O and mrs lee was congratulating us and wanxuan's group for making it out of the 245 groups that applied. and she was talking to us and being super friendly HAHA i was so embarrassed.
anw okay enough of all that VCIP stuff cause i bet you're bored reading it alr. anw aft that i rushed to the Zoo, and it took me over an hour to reach there. sorry for making you all wait. so only 4 of us turned up-celine, jfm, jiahui and me. yeah it turned out to be pretty fun and all. HAHA deprived kids. (and it's been 10yrs since i visited the zoo) so we spent like... 4 hours practically walking the whole of the Zoo. but we pathetically didn't have any digicam so we didn't take much pics. only used jfm's handphone camera.
we saw: pink-butt monkeys (that's what i call them lah), tigers, elephants, ponies, dogs, pigs, giraffes, camel-deer (omg cross breed), peacocks, butterflies, birds, cockroaches, pitcher plants, snakes, crops, and yeah etc etc. HAHA and we went for the Elephant show and the Animal Friendly Show (meant for children BUT it was really fun and everything!). hmmm, the Elephant show in Singapore and Thailand is arnd the same standard.. but the Elephants in Thailand are much bigger, plus, in Thailand you can feed the elephants and be in close contact with them.
Animal Friendly Show was cool cause the dogs were doing stunts and everything. and then when we went to those really dark places we would start freaking each other out. HAHAA. i realise screams are really influential. like when someone else screams you'll think something is wrong and you'll scream too. and it was really funny cause, a lot of places where we went to, the animal that was meant to be there isn't that. e.g. the polar bear ): and the lion ):
there were loads of nice souvenirs but i had no doinkss to buy them. yikes. O:
argh i have loads of undone hw. ): and i don't think i understand amaths cause i missed the lesson. thanks so much kaiqi, for writing out all the bio spa stuff for me. :DD
